Rakugo: Traditional Storytelling and Traditional Geisha Dances

Enjoy the Japanese traditional entertainment !

This joint performance by Rakugo (tradition of comic storytelling) and Geisha dances began in 2011. Enjoy Rakugo, which developed in downtown Edo, and traditional dance and music by Geisha, which shows the atmosphere of the traditional entertainment districts of the city.
In this entertainment, the first half will feature famous works from the traditional Rakugo repertoire, which are full of cheerful laughter. The second half, introduces dances by Geisha from six entertainment quarters of downtown Tokyo, who dance to songs about the Edo scenery in four seasons. In the interval, professional male entertainers known as Hokan or Taiko-mochi will entertain the audience.
