Kagura is one of the most ancient forms of performing art in Japan . In Kagura, music and dance are dedicated to Shinto Gods to pray for purification, longevity and prosperity. Jazz, on the other hand, is a modern improvisational music born in America. Discover the new world created by Kagura and Jazz! The winner of the Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts, Matsumoto Gennosuke, and his Troupe of Edo-no-Sato-Kagura, join world-renowned jazz guitarist, Kazumi Watanabe, for a virtuoso performance to explore the exciting collaboration between Kagura and Jazz.
