Enjoy the fresh green leaves and Tokyo tradition!

Less than an hour’s train ride from the Tokyo city center, Mount Takao (Takao-san) is a well-loved spot for viewing fresh green leaves. At the foot of this mountain, Shishimai (Lion Dance), in which the lions may “bite” people on the head to bring good luck, Kasa-Mawashi (umbrella spinning) and other Kyokugei (traditional Japanese acrobatics) will be staged when the fresh geen are at their best. Also Edo Woodblock Pints workshops will be offered and participants can handomake goods using woodblock print techniques.
